Bepi Tosolini Amaro Liqueur
Bepi Tosolini Amaro comes from Bepi Tosolini, the family distillery founded in 1943 in Friuli, northeastern Italy, and famous for its grappa. The amaro is made from an infusion of alpine and Mediterranean herbs, roots, barks and citrus peel blended with the family's spirit and sugar, in the classic Italian tradition of the bittersweet digestivo. Bottled at 30% ABV (60 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The taste is a balanced bittersweet layering of gentian and herbs, orange peel, caramel and warm spice, with a rich texture and a long, lingering finish. Serve it neat or over ice after a meal, top it with soda and a lemon twist for a lighter aperitivo, or stir it into a Black Manhattan or a Paper Plane in place of Averna or Nonino. A well-priced amaro from a respected Friulian house.
