Bittercube Jamaican No. 1 Bitters are small-batch, handmade bitters developed in Milwaukee and produced in Madison, Wisconsin, using spirits from Yahara Bay Distillers. Everything is done by hand, from peeling hundreds of pounds of citrus to weighing dozens of spices, and Bittercube uses only raw ingredients with no extracts or oils.
Jamaican No. 1 is robust and spicy, with overtones of Jamaican spice and hints of ginger and black pepper, somewhat like an allspice dram in bitters form and the most spice-forward of the Bittercube range. A few dashes bring warmth to a rum Old Fashioned, a Mai Tai, a Dark 'n' Stormy, a hot toddy, or a spiced Manhattan, and they are equally at home in baking, marinades, and vinaigrettes.
