Cherry Pie San Pablo Bay Vineyard Napa Valley Pinot Noir
Cherry Pie Pinot Noir takes its name from artist T.R. Colletta's painting of a hot-out-of-the-oven cherry pie, and the label is a collection of single and multi vineyard Pinot Noirs that each express a distinct sense of place. This bottling comes from San Pablo Bay Vineyard in the Napa Valley, in the cool Carneros district near the bay. Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, it opens with tart cranberries, red cherries and a delicate perfume of rose petals. The palate follows with pomegranate and macerated strawberries, plus baking spices and a subtle hint of vanilla. The style is bright and food-friendly with a medium body and soft tannins. It pairs well with roast duck breast, pork tenderloin, grilled salmon, or mushroom risotto. It also works with a holiday turkey, where the cranberry notes echo the side dishes. Serve around 60 degrees, and open it a little ahead of dinner so the rose petal aromas come forward. 750ml bottle. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
