Cline Fog Swept Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Cline Family Cellars is a family-owned Sonoma winery that Fred Cline started in 1982 in Oakley, California, then moved to Sonoma County in 1989 after buying a 350-acre horse farm in Carneros. Fog Swept is the winery's Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, named for the cool Pacific fog that shapes the appellation. Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, it opens with vibrant black cherry and wild strawberry, layered with subtle hints of black tea, mushroom and bittersweet chocolate. The palate is marked by fresh, juicy acidity, an elegant mouthfeel and fine-grained tannins, and a touch of earthy complexity gives it a classic Pinot Noir profile. It is a lighter-framed red that stays fresh at the table. Try it with roast chicken, seared tuna, pork tenderloin, or a mushroom flatbread. It also pairs nicely with Gruyere and other nutty cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 60 degrees, to highlight the acidity and red fruit. 750ml bottle. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
