Les Parcellaires is Comte Louis de Lauriston's single-plot, single-cask series, created to show how individual Norman micro-terroirs shape Calvados. This 12-year-old comes from Arromanches-les-Bains, the coastal commune beside the D-Day landing beaches, where proximity to the sea gives a temperate climate; it carries the AOC Calvados designation rather than Domfrontais and, according to the US retailer, is distilled from 100% apple cider. Like the rest of the Lauriston range it is distilled in a column still and aged in old oak, but here a single cask was selected and bottled in November 2022 at full cask strength, 47.3% ABV, without reduction, yielding just 330 bottles. The producer describes salted butter caramel and exotic wood, with a dense, rich palate. Lauriston is the brand of the Chais du Verger Normand in Domfront, founded by Count Louis de Lauriston in 1962 and run with Christian Drouin since 1992; the Parcellaires line, which also includes casks from Saint-Fraimbault, Avrilly and Jouvigny-sous-Andaine, is the house's modern, terroir-focused counterpart to its deep library of vintage Domfrontais.
