Kraljica ("Queen") is a Serbian plum brandy, or šljivovica, from Destilerija Zarić, a family distillery that continues Serbia's centuries-old rakija tradition. Ripe plums from Serbian orchards are fermented and double-distilled in copper, then rested in oak to soften and develop, producing a refined brandy that captures the fruit at its ripest. Bottled at 42% ABV in a 700ml bottle.
The taste is a harmonious balance of ripe plum and spirit, with the fruit's natural sweetness elegantly complemented by hints of oak and a touch of vanilla, leading to a smooth, lingering, warming finish.
