Romano Levi Moscato Grappa comes from the legendary distillery in Neive, Piedmont, made famous by Romano Levi, the "angelic grappa maker" who distilled in a wood-fired still for more than 60 years and hand-drew every label until his death in 2008; the distillery continues his methods today. This grappa is distilled from the pomace of Moscato grapes, the aromatic variety behind Moscato d'Asti, and bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The aroma is enchanting: delicate florals with the sweet, seductive scent of ripe Muscat grapes, honeyed apricot and a touch of citrus. The palate is elegant and refined, with luscious grape sweetness, a hint of tropical fruit and gentle herbal notes, finishing long and graceful. Serve it neat, lightly chilled, after dinner.
