Drake's Organic White Rum
Drake's Organic White Rum is the unaged rum from Drake's Organic Spirits, the Minneapolis company Mark Anderson founded in 2017 around one idea: spirits made from the purest ingredients available, with nothing artificial in the bottle. The rum is made from organic sugarcane grown in the Cauca Valley of South America, where the fields are watered by runoff from the Andes, and it is produced without grain, gluten or GMOs. Drake's built its identity on certifications, and the whole line carries five of them: USDA Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, gluten-free, vegan and OU Kosher, a combination the brand describes as a first for any spirit line. The white rum has also done well in competition, taking Double Gold and Best White Rum at the 2017 Global Spirits Awards and a Gold Medal at the Asia International Spirits Competition in Hong Kong. Since late 2018 the brand has been distributed nationally by Southern Glazer's. As a clean, unaged cane rum it's made for mixing: a Daiquiri, a Mojito, a Cuba Libre, or simply rum and soda with a squeeze of lime.
