El Pino Club High Haven Anderson Valley Pinot Noir
El Pino Club is a Foley Family Wines label created by people who simply love Pinot Noir, and it collects distinctive bottlings from some of the best Pinot regions in the world. High Haven comes from the Anderson Valley in Mendocino County, a narrow, cool valley where Pacific fog funnels inland through the coastal hills and gives the grapes a long, even ripening period. That climate is the reason Anderson Valley has a strong reputation for Pinot Noir with lifted fruit and natural freshness. Bottled at 14.3% alcohol, the High Haven shows red fruit at its center, with wild strawberry and Maraschino cherry on the palate. Fine-grained tannins give the wine shape without any harshness, and a touch of dolce de leche arrives on the finish, adding a sweet, creamy note. The result is a soft, charming red that is easy to drink while still having enough structure for the table.
