Enrico Toro Genziana 72 is a 750ml Italian gentian liqueur bottled at 72 proof (36% ABV), made by the Toro family distillery in Tocco da Casauria, Abruzzo, a house with roots going back to 1817. Genziana is the traditional digestivo of the Abruzzo mountains, made by macerating the bitter roots of the yellow gentian plant in wine and spirit.
Genziana 72 is deeply bittersweet and earthy, with the gentian's clean, rooty bitterness balanced by gentle sweetness and a long, dry, herbal finish. Serve it well chilled or neat after a meal the Abruzzese way, or use it in small doses to add bitter backbone to spritzes and stirred drinks.
