Entremanos High Proof Blanco Tequila is the brand's nod to a more historic style of tequila, bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 700ml bottle. Entremanos was founded by Yan Monroy with fifth-generation maestro tequilero Jaime Villalobos Sauza and is made at Hacienda de Oro, NOM 1522, in Amatitán, Jalisco, in the heart of the Tequila Valley. Like the standard blanco it uses only three ingredients: Tequila Valley Blue Weber agave, deep well water and ambient wild yeast, with no additives. The agave is cooked in autoclaves, roller-milled and fermented spontaneously in open-air stainless steel tanks without fibers, then double distilled in stainless steel pot stills. Rather than cutting down from a very high still proof, batches are blended and distilled near their final strength, which preserves the aromatic intensity. Tequila Matchmaker tasters report cooked and raw agave, minerals, herbs, citrus, black pepper, anise, brine and wet earth on the nose, with a palate of cooked agave, minerals, citrus, pepper, butter and mint.
