Eterno Verano Añejo Tequila
Eterno Verano takes its name and spirit from Bruce Brown's 1966 surf film The Endless Summer, and the brand belongs to Grain and Barrel Spirits, the company founded by Matti Anttila. The tequila is handmade in the town of Tequila, Jalisco, under Master Tequilero Arturo Fuentes, a veteran distiller widely known as the Godfather of Tequila, using 100% blue Weber agave grown in both the Highlands and the Lowlands of Jalisco. Drawing on agave from both regions lets the blend combine the brighter, fruit-forward side of Highland agave with the earthier character of the valley. The Añejo is the oldest expression in the core range, aged a minimum of 12 months in whiskey barrels and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). The brand describes a golden tan pour with a tropical aroma, rich vanilla and caramel apple on the palate, and a smooth chocolate note on the finish. The bottle is made from recycled glass and sealed with a natural cork. Eterno Verano launched in 2022 with a Blanco, Reposado and this Añejo, and the Blanco and Reposado both earned silver medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
