Flora Springs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Flora Springs was founded in 1978 by Jerry and Flora Komes on a historic 19th-century ghost winery in St. Helena, and the family built it into one of Napa Valley's respected estate producers with roughly 500 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards in Rutherford, Oakville, St. Helena and Oak Knoll. Winemaker Gina G. Boisset crafts the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from hand-selected blocks in Rutherford and Oak Knoll along with sun-drenched estate vineyards, blending 89% Cabernet Sauvignon with 6% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. The wine ages 18 months on its lees in 90% French oak, 35% new, finishing around 14.5% ABV, with about 3,500 cases produced. Winery notes describe blackcurrant, wild berries and licorice accented by white pepper, savory fennel and sage and dried earth, with firm, fine tannins carrying a crushed-stone quality into notes of bitter cooking chocolate and dark cherry on a long, mineral finish, best enjoyed now through 2029. Pair this 750ml bottle with herb-crusted lamb, grilled portobello or a classic New York strip. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
