Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is the fourth release in the distillery's award-winning A Tale Of series and its first experiment with rare Japanese Mizunara oak. Inspired by his experience of Tokyo's many sensory contrasts, Dr. Bill Lumsden united Glenmorangie part-aged in Mizunara casks with whisky matured in sherry and bourbon casks, keeping the Tain distillery's light, floral house style at the center.
Bottled at 92 proof, it combines bright, bold flavor with soft sweetness: pepper and bitter cherry meet mouth-watering orange zest, with the incense, sandalwood and sweet oak that Mizunara is famous for, finishing long and gently spiced.
