Goslings Black Seal 80 proof Rum

Today, unlike most spirits, Black Seal includes products of both pot stills, as used in fine Cognacs, and continuous stills, as used in grappa. One imparts flavour, the other yields a subtle elegance. Together they work wonders.

Gosling’s Black Seal has a rich, intricate flavour, well balanced and nuanced with butterscotch, vanilla and caramel. Or, as expressed up by the Beverage Tasting Institute when they awarded it their highest honor, the Platinum Medal: “Deep, assertive and highly flavoured. Very fragrant with herbal sharpness. At the finish there is a softness and elegance. A most complex, unusual spirit.” We were pleased, but hardly surprised. After all, we’ve been at this awhile.

Willett 4yr Rye

Amazing Rye! Thank you to every at Chips for the outstanding service & fast shipping! It’s almost impossible to find in Maryland/Delaware/DC/VA area and if you do find one it’s usually 3-5x msrp

Excellent

On par with the finest Guyana out there. Works fantastic in a cocktail or on its own. Perfect addition to the tiki shelf. Totally worth it.

Good stuff

Another great offering from Hamilton. Would give it 5 stars but it just falls a bit short of the same offering in black...which is my absolute go to. Nevertheless, worth having on your tiki shelf.

Interesting

Huge fan of everything Hamilton puts out. Was eager to try this offering. Honestly, was a little disappointed with this one. Very pervasive metallic note. At first I thought that maybe my nose was overwhelmed by the alcohol when I did the initial tasting. Not the case. Whipped up really juicy tiki cocktail, pineapple, passion fruit etc and just one oz. of the st Lucia really added a sharp metallic note to the drink. Sorry Ed, love what you do, but this one, I cannot abide.
