Bijofu The Gentleman Tokubetsu Junmai is the flagship everyday sake from Hamakawa Shoten, a small family brewery in Kochi Prefecture on Japan's Shikoku island. Kochi is known for a bright, dry style of sake built for drinking with food, and Bijofu, which means "beautiful man," is one of the prefecture's most loved labels. Tokubetsu Junmai means "special pure rice": brewed with no added alcohol from rice polished further than a standard junmai.
The Gentleman is smooth and velvety with subtle complexity, a delicate balance of floral aroma and gentle sweetness, and a clean, crisp finish at 15% ABV.
