Hoxton Pink Gin comes from Hoxton Spirits, the East London brand founded by nightlife entrepreneur and mixologist Gerry Calabrese, who created the original coconut-and-grapefruit Hoxton Gin at his Hoxton Pony bar and later built it into a multi-category range that includes Dry, Pink and Tropical gins, a London Spritz and a Spiced Whisky. The brand says the gin reflects the attitude and style of Hoxton itself and was developed by Calabrese in a local micro-distillery using only ethically sourced botanicals. Pink is built around rosehip, gunpowder tea and grapefruit over a juniper core, with bergamot, chamomile, elderflower, hibiscus sugar, liquorice and orris rounding out the recipe, and it is bottled at 40% ABV in a 700ml bottle. Retailer Master of Malt describes it as floral, dry and gently spiced, with the rosehip and gunpowder tea adding structure and depth, a faintly smoky, refreshingly citrusy profile, and a clean bitter edge rather than the sugary sweetness of many pink gins. The 2023 rebrand gave the range bright, colour-coded bottles meant to stand out against traditional gin labels.
