Humano Joven Tequila
Joven is Humano's blend expression — legally defined as a mixture of unaged and aged tequila — combining all three of the brand's other releases: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo, master blended together. Despite including aged components, it stays light-bodied and completely crystalline, since the blend leans mostly toward the unaged Blanco character. Official tasting notes describe rich, balanced cooked agave with black pepper, butter, vanilla, and green apple, rounded out by light clove and an herbal edge, finishing smooth, sweet, and long-lasting, with hints of citrus threaded throughout. Bottled at 40% ABV, using the same single-estate Blue Weber agave from the Jalisco Highlands and additive-free production as the rest of the Humano range. One thing worth noting: unlike the Blanco and Añejo, which have been reviewed independently by Drinkhacker and Wine Enthusiast respectively, I couldn't find a dedicated third-party critic review specifically covering the Joven, so treat these tasting notes as brand-sourced rather than independently verified. A genuinely versatile pour that splits the difference between the Blanco's punch and the aged expressions' depth.
