Jean-Luc Pasquet L'Organic 04 Grande Champagne Cognac is a small-batch organic cognac from the Pasquet family estate in Eraville, one of the first certified-organic producers in Cognac. Made from 100% Ugni Blanc grown organically in the Grande and Petite Champagne crus, it is aged four to five years in Limousin oak and bottled at 40% ABV with no added sugar and no chill filtration.
It opens with luminous aromas of white flowers, pear, muscadine grape and subtle citrus peel. The palate is fresh and lively, layered with quince, green apple, grapefruit and delicate spice over gentle oak, and the finish is clean, medium in length and subtly herbaceous. It balances youthful fruit with real structure and is an excellent cocktail cognac as well as an easy sipper.
