Kenwood Vineyards sits in the heart of Sonoma County and has built its identity on small-lot winemaking and the diverse terroir of the region. The Six Ridges Pinot Noir draws its fruit from the Russian River Valley, an appellation known for cool mornings, Pacific fog and well-drained soils that give Pinot Noir ripe fruit with natural freshness. Bottled at 14.5% alcohol, the wine shows red fruit flavors of raspberry and pomegranate joined by spicy notes of clove, nutmeg and vanilla from oak aging. The mouthfeel is rich yet soft, with gentle tannins that give way to an elegant finish. It is a rounded, accessible style that works across a whole dinner menu. Try it with roasted chicken with herbs, seared duck breast or a wild mushroom pasta, and it is equally at home with a weeknight pizza. Serve it slightly cooler than room temperature, and give it a few minutes in the glass to let the spice notes unfold alongside the red fruit. 750ml bottle.
