The Kings County Signature Gift Set brings together the three straight whiskeys that define Brooklyn's Kings County Distillery, each in a 200ml bottle, in a presentation box. Kings County was founded in 2009 by Colin Spoelman and David Haskell, has operated from the Brooklyn Navy Yard since 2012, and is New York City's oldest operating whiskey distillery since Prohibition; the American Distilling Institute named it Distillery of the Year in 2016. The set includes Straight Bourbon, a high-malt bourbon of 80% New York organic corn and 20% English malted barley aged four to seven years in new charred oak and bottled at 90 proof; Peated Bourbon, the same bourbon approach made with Scottish peat-smoked malt, aged four years and bottled at 90 proof; and Straight Empire Rye, made from 80% New York-grown Danko rye and 20% malted barley, aged at least three years and bottled at 102 proof. All three are open-fermented and double distilled on Scottish copper pot stills. The 200ml format is a nod to the distillery's early years, when it sold its whiskey only in that size, and makes the set a side-by-side tasting of the house style.
