Koval Rye Vodka
Koval Rye Vodka comes from Koval Distillery, the family-owned operation founded by Robert and Sonat Birnecker in 2008 as the first distillery to open within Chicago city limits since Prohibition. Koval is best known for its grain-to-bottle whiskeys, and this vodka is made the same way: from 100% rye sourced from Midwest organic farms, mashed and distilled in-house, with only the "heart" cut of the run kept. Bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
Because it is made entirely from rye and not stripped to complete neutrality, Koval Rye Vodka keeps a bit of the grain's personality: a hint of spice, a soft creamy body and a touch of sweetness on the finish. It makes an unusually good martini and works well in any cocktail where you want the vodka to contribute something. Kosher certified and made with organic grain.
