La Clandestine Absinthe Supérieure is a 750ml, 53% ABV Swiss absinthe blanche handcrafted by Claude-Alain Bugnon in Couvet, in the Val-de-Travers, the birthplace of absinthe. It follows a moonshiner's 1935 recipe from the era when absinthe was banned and distilled in secret, hence the name.
Produced in 88-liter batches using local ingredients, it is the world's most loved blanche: clear, unaged and elegant, with fresh anise, grande wormwood, fennel and Alpine herbs that louche to a soft milky white. Serve it with iced water and no sugar needed, or use it in a Sazerac or Corpse Reviver No. 2.
