Laetitia Estate San Luis Obispo Coast Pinot Noir
Laetitia Vineyard & Winery is located in the Arroyo Grande Valley, a cool, narrow corridor open to the Pacific on California's Central Coast, and this Pinot Noir is made from its estate vineyards in the San Luis Obispo Coast appellation. The valley is among the coolest places on the Central Coast, with ocean breezes and morning fog that extend the growing season and preserve acidity. Bottled at 13.5% alcohol, the wine opens with expressive aromas of flinty cherry, blueberry and Asian spice. The palate is medium to full in body and carries Bing cherry, plum and nutmeg, finishing smooth with lingering red fruit flavors. It has more weight and spice than many coastal Pinot Noirs while still keeping a fresh, balanced profile. Pair it with roast duck, grilled lamb chops or pork tenderloin, and it is just as good with mushroom dishes or a hearty salmon preparation. Serve it a little cooler than room temperature, and open it a few minutes ahead so the aromatics have time to develop in the glass. 750ml bottle. Vintages may vary; we ship the current release.
