Reserve du Domaine is the top Pinot Noir bottling from Laetitia, a Central Coast winery based in the Arroyo Grande Valley of San Luis Obispo County. The valley sits close to the Pacific, and ocean air keeps days cool and lets the fruit ripen slowly while holding onto acidity. This is Laetitia's reserve-level expression of that setting, and it is built to show both fruit and structure. Bottled at 14.1% alcohol, the wine pours ruby and opens with red fruit, baking spice and an earthy edge. On the palate expect raspberry and cherry layered with white flower and a range of spice notes, carried by fine, dusty tannins and enough freshness to keep the weight in check. The finish runs long, closing on fruit, spice and a savory earth note that brings you back for another sip. It is a Pinot Noir with more depth than most Central Coast bottlings at this level.
