Lana Blanco Tequila
Lana Tequila launched in June 2023 under Prestige Beverage Group, co-founded by Maximilian Arasin and Jonathan William Mikula, a writer, actor, and producer. The Blanco is made from 100% blue Weber agave grown five to seven years in the volcanic soils of Jalisco's lowland Tequila Valley, and it's produced at Destilería Leyros, NOM 1489, a large, modern distillery in the Valley that makes tequila for a long list of brands and puts an emphasis on minimizing water use, energy, and waste. Leyros cooks the agave in autoclaves, extracts the juice with a diffuser, and double distills through a column still, a process built for a clean, consistent spirit. It's bottled unaged at 40% ABV (80 proof). The detail people notice first is the cap: each one is cut from real marble and onyx, so no two bottles look exactly alike. The brand's tasting notes lead with roasted herbal agave, vanilla, lime, sea salt, and cinnamon on the nose, then sweet herbal agave, vanilla, and pear on the palate, finishing with sea salt, buttery agave, jalapeño, and lime peel.
