Description: Our straight bourbon whiskey, aged in a solera system, is finished in Cognac casks. Starting with the well-aged Four Grain Bourbon from Laws, the whiskey is transferred to various sized Cognac casks, imbuing it with flavors and complexity from the French oak. The casks are then blended in a 50-year-old, 60 hectoliter Cognac foeder for secondary solera-style aging. Each year, a portion of the whiskey is harvested, and the vessel is immediately refilled with new Four Grain Bourbon finished in Cognac casks. This solera process creates a complex spirit with bold bourbon notes upfront and subtle Cognac undertones.
