Leopold Bros. American Orange Liqueur is a 750ml pot-distilled orange liqueur from Leopold Bros., the family distillery in Denver, Colorado. It is made from two types of citrus peel, Curaçao orange and bergamot, steeped in spirit and carefully distilled in a small copper pot still to separate the clean citrus aromas from the bitterness of the pith.
The distillate rests in glass carboys to soften, then is blended with cane sugar, Belgian candi sugar and agave nectar for a relatively dry finish. Bright, fragrant and never syrupy, it is a superb triple sec for margaritas, sidecars, cosmopolitans and Mai Tais.
