Inside is Cordon Bleu, created in 1912 and built on a high proportion of Borderies eaux-de-vie, the small cru whose spirits are exceptionally round and nutty. It shows a golden-copper hue, complex aromas of orchard fruit, plum and roasted nuts, a smooth, rounded palate of candied fruit, gingerbread and gentle oak, and a remarkably long finish of fruit and spice. It is bottled at 40% ABV and drinks best neat.
