Maxi Milian Italian Gin was founded by Marta Gover and Massimiliano Montanari with a mission to make natural, ecological, ethically produced spirits. It is triple-distilled in Italy from Italian grain alcohol with exclusively Italian raw materials: juniper, angelica root and coriander seed infused separately, then grapefruit, myrtle, black tea and raisins, with no artificial flavorings or added sugar. It is bottled at 43% ABV (86 proof), and every bottle, label and closure is recyclable and hand-stamped.
The profile is bright and Mediterranean: Italian citrus and grapefruit up front, resinous juniper and myrtle in the middle, and a gentle tannic depth from the black tea with a hint of dried-fruit sweetness from the raisins. It makes a beautiful G&T with a grapefruit slice, an elegant Negroni with Italian vermouth, or a clean Martini.
