It is single pot still whiskey from Midleton Distillery matured for at least nine years in bourbon barrels, sherry butts, Bordeaux wine casks and Port pipes, and bottled non-chill filtered at 51.4% ABV.
The nose is a light mix of pineapple, kiwi, green banana and lime zest, followed by pot still spices, baked apple, hazelnut and toasted wood. The palate is smooth with subtle fruit, a hint of clove and cracked black pepper, then sweet spice, vanilla and cinnamon over the wood's nutty contribution. The finish is a lasting balance of exotic fruit and spice.
