Naud VS Cognac is the entry to the range from the Naud family, whose distilling history in the Charente dates to 1856 and whose modern house draws on a family collection of aged reserves. The VS blends young eaux-de-vie aged at least two years in French oak and is bottled at 40% ABV.
It shows a radiant amber. The nose is a fusion of floral and fruity notes with gentle hints of oak, spice and vanilla. The palate is velvety for a VS, with luscious fruit, warm spice and subtle oak undertones, and the finish is long and satisfying. It sips well over ice and makes an excellent Sidecar, French 75 or cognac and ginger ale.
