Solbeso is a 750ml, 40% ABV spirit distilled from the fresh fruit of the cacao tree, the sweet white pulp that surrounds cocoa beans and is usually discarded. It is made at the source in cacao-growing regions of Latin America, using specially designed cognac-style alembic stills that concentrate the aroma and refine the flavor.
The result is a delightfully smooth, clear spirit with tropical fruit, citrus and floral notes and none of the chocolate you might expect, closer to a fine pisco or eau-de-vie. Sip it chilled, or use it in place of pisco, rum or vodka in sours, mules and tropical cocktails.
