Nueveuno Blanco Artisanal Organic Tequila
Nueveuno is the family tequila of master distiller Noemi Partida and her father Enrique Partida, made at Rancho Miravalle in Amatitán, Jalisco, NOM 1426. The name means "nine-one" and honors Noemi's grandfather, Enrique Partida Sr., who lived to 91; the cap carries a "19" for February 19th, the birthday Noemi shares with her father. Every agave comes from the family's own fields around Amatitán in the Tequila Valley, and the tequila is certified organic, kosher and non-GMO, with no additives. Production stays traditional: blue Weber agave is cooked in stone ovens, crushed on a roller mill, fermented without the fibers using natural yeast, and double distilled in stainless pot stills, with deep well water used to bring it down to 40% ABV. The Blanco is bottled unaged, the base spirit for the rest of the lineup, and tasters consistently find cooked agave front and center with black pepper, citrus, mint and a touch of cinnamon behind it. A lowland blanco with real estate-grown character, good neat and better in a Paloma or a simple margarita.
