Padró & Co. Reserva Especial is a 750ml red vermouth from Padró & Co., the family winery in Bràfim, Tarragona, that has made Catalan vermouth since 1886. It is built on a sweet Tarragona Clàssic-style liqueur wine aged in 7,000-liter oak vats used at the winery for generations, blended with solera wine and the house's special vermouth herbs.
The aroma is intense and striking from prolonged aging, with dried figs, roasted hazelnuts and green walnuts, and the palate is warm and rich, giving way to licorice and medicinal herbs wrapped in sweet and bitter notes.
