Description: Puerto Angel Añejo Rum is handcrafted from the unique sugarcane varietal cultivated at the soaring elevations of Mexico's Uruapan Highlands, using traditional techniques initially developed by artisans in production of rhum agricole. Distilled in copper pot stills in small batches from the cold pressed and naturally fermented juice of Uruapan sugarcane, Puerto Angel Añejo rum is aged in American white oak barrels for at least 3 years. Recognized as the Rum of the Year by USA Spirits Ratings (2021), Puerto Angel is an excellent sipper and mixes perfectly in cocktails. TASTING NOTES Style: Rich, funky and complex. Aroma: Complex and creamy aromas of brown sugar, vanilla, caramelized banana and hazelnut layered on an underlying presence of fragrant cane. Taste: Buttery smooth, luxurious mouthfeel with abundant flavors of toasted almonds, plums, baked apple and caramelized banana with accents of vanilla bean and toffee throughout an enduring finish.
