R. Jelínek Bohemia Apricot Brandy is a Czech apricot eau-de-vie from R. Jelínek of Vizovice in Moravia, the family distillery famous for fruit brandies since 1894. It is produced by a three-stage distillation of ripe apricot mash in which the pits remain present throughout, their tannins giving the distillate its characteristic flavor.
A minimum of one year of aging harmonizes aroma and flavor, yielding a clear spirit with intense ripe apricot, a hint of almond and a smooth, dry finish. Serve it chilled in a small glass as a digestif, or use it in an apricot sour or in place of apricot liqueur for a drier cocktail.
