These crops are rotated to maintain essential soil nutrients. The concept for Bana Canne emerged after an American bartender’s visit to the island in 2017.
Since 2011, Kadalys has focused on researching and developing banana co-products, converting what was once considered waste into valuable resources. This groundbreaking collaboration between Rhum Clément and the innovative start-up founded by successful entrepreneur and Martinique native Shirley Billot embodies the island’s spirit and demonstrates how two distinct teams can achieve remarkable results. After over two years of collaboration and nearly fifty trials, the combined efforts of the Clément and Kadalys teams produced the ideal eco-extraction technique, culminating in the creation of Clément Bana Canne.
