Salers Gentiane is a 750ml classic French gentian apéritif, made in the Auvergne since 1885 and the oldest gentian liqueur brand in France. The roots of wild yellow gentian, hand-harvested at high altitude in the volcanic Massif Central, are steeped in neutral alcohol for several months, distilled with herbs, and matured in Limousin oak casks.
The result is distinctively bittersweet with earthy, vegetal gentian complemented by hints of citrus peel, mint and anise. Enjoy it the French way over ice with a squeeze of lemon, top it with tonic or soda, or use it to add depth to a white Negroni or a martini.
