Still G.I.N. by Dre and Snoop is the second spirits brand from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, following their Gin & Juice launch, and it is distilled and bottled in the United States by Strong Spirits for the duo's Defiant Ones company. Built on a grain neutral spirit, the botanicals are vapor-distilled in a copper pot still, with a bill that leans on tangerine, jasmine, coriander and juniper, plus angelica and cassia in supporting roles. Bottled at 85 proof (42.5% ABV) in a 750ml bottle, it is pitched as a new world style gin that puts citrus and florals ahead of heavy pine. The Gin Is In describes the nose as citrus forward with powdered rose, mandarin and coriander, a palate that opens on Seville orange and builds to vivid tangerine with warming spice, and a moderately long finish of peppery coriander, cassia and resinous juniper. The producer calls it defiantly smooth and clean enough to sip neat or on the rocks. It shines in highballs where the tangerine pops, a gin and tonic or gin and soda, and holds up in a Negroni, Tom Collins or Last Word.
