Strega Herbal Liqueur
Strega is a 750ml, 80-proof Italian herbal liqueur made in Benevento since 1860 by the Alberti family. Its name means "witch," a nod to the legend of witches gathering under Benevento's walnut tree, and it is made from around 70 herbs and spices including mint, fennel, juniper and cinnamon.
Its characteristic yellow color comes from precious saffron added to the herb distillate, and the liqueur is aged in ash barrels over a long period to perfectly blend its aromas. Sweet, minty and complex, it is a classic digestif neat or on the rocks, and a great alternative to Yellow Chartreuse in a Golden Dream or a Strega sour.
