Summer Dreams Super Chill Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Super Chill is a barrel selection from Summer Dreams that aims for a unique expression of the West Sonoma Coast. The fruit comes from cool-climate hillside vineyards in Goldridge soils, and the wine is 100 percent Pinot Noir, with some fermentation in French oak puncheons and micro open-top fermenters. It ages in Demptos and Taransaud barrels made from tight-grained Vosges oak and is bottled unfined. Bottled at 14.8% alcohol, it comes out of the glass with exuberant violets, anise and fertile loam, giving way to blackberries, black cherries and a touch of garrigue. The medium to full-bodied palate is surprisingly graceful and savory, with very fine-grained tannins and seamless freshness, and it finishes long and fragrant. A brief decant helps it show its best. Pair it with herb-crusted lamb, duck breast or grilled mushrooms with thyme. A good fit for anyone who likes Pinot Noir with perfume, dark fruit and a savory, well-structured finish. 750ml bottle.
