Tullamore D.E.W. 18 Year Old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is the oldest expression in the Tullamore range, from the distillery in County Offaly that revived whiskey-making in the town of Tullamore. Triple distilled from malted barley, it spends eighteen years in bourbon casks and then finishes in four casks, Oloroso sherry, Port, Madeira and bourbon, before bottling at 41.3% ABV (82.6 proof).
Nearly two decades in oak give it a refined complexity and velvety texture: rich dried fruit, honeyed sweetness and marzipan on the nose, a layered palate of toffee, orange peel, nuts and subtle oak, and a long, elegant finish. It is a whiskey to pour neat and take slowly.
