The brand is built around the tagline The Pleasure of Payne and a deliberately loud identity: a metal gargoyle pour spout on the bottle and a deep ruby-red pour from the black currant. Underneath the theatrics is a flavored whiskey that has done well in competition, taking Double Gold at the 2025 San Francisco World Spirits Competition on top of multiple earlier gold medals, and it launched in the United Kingdom in 2025 through BBB Drinks at Bar Convent London.
