National Parks No. 2 is the second release in Wyoming Whiskey's National Parks Limited Edition series, small-batch straight bourbons from the distillery in Kirby, Wyoming that each honor one park and send money back to it. The first, in April 2021, paid tribute to Grand Teton and raised more than $120,000 for the National Park Foundation; No. 2 came out in May 2022 for the 150th anniversary of Yellowstone, the world's first national park, with sales benefiting Yellowstone Forever and the distillery pledging a further $150,000. Wyoming Whiskey was founded by ranchers Brad and Kate Mead and attorney David DeFazio with Bourbon Hall of Famer Steve Nally as founding distiller. No. 2 is a five-year straight bourbon bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV), and the distillery itself describes it as the more floral of the series. Flaviar's notes list amber color, a nose of sandalwood, cane sugar, orange cream, peach and lemon peel, a palate of marzipan buttercream, carrot cake, browned spices, toffee and salted caramel, and a finish of orange and lemon, lingering oak, black pepper and leather. No. 3 was built more rugged; this is the softer, sweeter Yellowstone bottling.
