Wyoming Whiskey National Parks No.3 Bourbon Whiskey
National Parks No. 3 is the fall 2023 release in Wyoming Whiskey's National Parks Limited Edition series, this time dedicated to Grand Teton National Park, with a label inspired by the Snake River winding through the park's 310,000 acres. The series started in April 2021 and each bottling funds a park partner; with No. 3 and its companion release The Grand, Wyoming Whiskey committed $150,000 to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation. The distillery sits in Kirby, Wyoming, founded by ranchers Brad and Kate Mead and attorney David DeFazio, who brought in Bourbon Hall of Famer Steve Nally from Kentucky as founding distiller. No. 3 is a straight bourbon aged a minimum of five years and bottled at 105 proof (52.5% ABV), the same strength as No. 2, but the distillery says it deliberately subdued the floral notes of the Yellowstone edition to play to the granite ruggedness of the Tetons, so expect a bolder, oakier pour than its predecessor. A good bottle for anyone collecting the series or anyone who has stood in Jackson Hole and looked up.
