Breckenridge Port Cask Finish Bourbon takes the Colorado distillery's award-winning bourbon and gives it a final grooming in port casks of various ages for four to six months. Breckenridge Distillery sits at 9,600 feet in the Rockies, the highest distillery in the world, and blends its high-rye bourbon with pure snowmelt water.
The port casks add the aroma and flavor of sultana raisin and maple syrup, rounding out and softening the natural spicy finish of the bourbon while keeping its caramel and vanilla core, at 45% ABV (90 proof). Each finished batch is unique to the casks available. Sip it neat or over a large cube, or stir it into a Manhattan where the port echoes the vermouth.
