It pours a rich orange-copper and bottles at 41% ABV (82 proof). Good Spirits News gave it an A-, describing a soft, inviting sherry-topped nose over a rich, almost candy-like rum base, with vanilla, medium wood, and sweet caramel — surprisingly dry and oaky on the palate despite that sweet nose, calling it "an excellent rum that tastes like an añejo," ideal for a rum Old Fashioned.
