El Gran Legado de Vida is the tequila line from Tequila Legado Corp., built around one distinctive idea: a different agave source. Rather than the usual Jalisco fields, the brand uses 100% Tequilana Weber agave from a single estate in Michoacán, a source reviewers credit for the tequila's pronounced sweetness and mineral character.

Production takes place at NOM 1123, the Cascahuín distillery in El Arenal, in the Los Valles region of Jalisco, under Salvador Rosales Trejo. Piñas are cooked in stone and brick ovens, roller-milled, fermented without fibers in open-air stainless steel tanks with deep well water, and double distilled in a stainless pot still with a copper coil. We carry the Blanco, the Reposado and Añejo rested in French oak, American oak, ex-Cognac and ex-bourbon casks, and the 109-proof Still Strength Blanco.
