El Gran Legado de Vida Reposado Tequila comes from NOM 1123, the Cascahuín distillery in El Arenal, Jalisco, where Salvador Rosales Trejo produces the Legado line for Tequila Legado Corp. The brand's signature is its agave source: 100% Tequilana Weber grown on a single estate in Michoacán rather than the usual Jalisco fields, and that sweeter, more mineral raw material carries through to the glass. Agave is cooked in stone and brick ovens, extracted on a roller mill, fermented without fibers in open-air stainless steel tanks with deep well water, and double distilled in a stainless pot still with a copper coil. The reposado then rests in a mix of French oak, American white oak, ex-Cognac casks and ex-bourbon barrels before batches are blended and bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
